Introduction
The Clinical Psychology Placement Unit (CPPU) has been offering a wide range of psychological and counseling services by a clinical psychologist and clinical psychology trainees since 2018. The unit receives referrals from teachers, parents, and self-referrals. Currently, the unit also offers psychological and counseling services to the public.
Services
The Clinical Psychology Placement Unit offers psychological evaluation and intervention services for children, adults, families, and group therapy (Parent Support Group). Apart from all the services offered, the team works alongside multidisciplinary teams including school teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other allied health professionals.
All clinical cases and case discussions are handled by clinical psychology trainees who are supervised by a registered clinical psychologist supervisor.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS INCLUDE:
- Cognitive / Intellectual functioning
- Learning difficulties
- Growth and development
- Emotional distress
- Adaptive functioning
- Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Social-emotional screening
PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FOR:
- Problems with depression, sadness, and self-adjustment
- Behavior management issues, learning / academic, growth and development
- Relationships and family problems, self-issues, identity, and assertiveness
- Anxiety problems (panic, phobia)
- Obsessive-compulsive disorders
- Trauma related disorders
- Sleep, sexual, and nutritional problems
- Work related stress
- Management for stress, anger and physical pain
Procedure for Clinical Psychological Services
- The Clinical Psychology Unit only accepts clients by appointment.
- Appointments can be made via phone, email, or in person to the Clinical Psychology Unit.

Session Details
No payment charges for the services given. Each session will be conducted for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Kindly inform the unit 30 minutes before the session, if unable to present.
All clinical cases and case discussions are handled by clinical psychology trainees and will be supervised by a registered clinical psychologist.
The unused case materials will be discarded to protect the confidentiality of clients.
